Courses in this pathway are aligned to CSTA, ISTE, NGSS, Common Core and Canadian provincial standards. Curriculum maps are available for schools and boards.

About these courses
Are there any prerequisites?
There are no firm prerequisites for any course. Skill levels are a guide — a student comfortable with the ideas in one level is ready for the next, whatever their age.
How do I know where to start?
Use the skill dots on each course. Level 1 assumes no prior knowledge at all. If a student has done some of this before, start at level 2 or 3 and move on when it feels easy.
Do courses have to be done in order?
No. The roadmap is a suggested route, not a locked sequence. Students can jump to whatever they are interested in.
What equipment do we need?
Most courses need only a computer and an internet connection. Where a course needs a tablet, an account or a download, it is listed on the course page.
How long does a course take?
Each course carries 20+ hours of content, worked through at the student’s own pace.
What does finishing earn?
A badge for each course, and the pathway trophy for completing all of them. Micro-credentials are available for the pathway.
