We know how it is; a few weeks into the summer and you’ve run out of things to keep your kids occupied. We feel you!

Luckily, we’ve got tons of STEM activities to keep kids busy, learning, and having fun that are easy to do at home!

Here’s some inspiration for activities to add to your repertoire so you can keep your kids engaged while they’re at home this summer.

1. Marble Run

All you need is a shoebox lid, popsicle sticks, and some glue to make an awesome marble run sure to keep kids having fun.

2. Help Harry!

Get a pompom and put some googly eyes on it; you have your Harry! He really needs your help; he would love to see around the room, but he’s too short! Your job is to build a perch for him so he can have a better view! Your only supplies are pipe cleaners, one foot of tape, two muffin liners, a large piece of aluminum foil, and two index cards. Give it a shot and see just how high Harry can go!

3. Paper Bag STEM Challenge

Gather up some simple materials like tape, wooden dowels, popsicle sticks, and clay and give kids a challenge to create something new!

4. Bloxels

Always a favourite among our students, the Bloxels app allows you to create your own video games at home!

5. STEM MINDS Summer Camp

Coming up will a full repertoire of activities to keep your kids engaged can be a struggle. Luckily, we’re running a full 10 weeks of summer camp to keep your kids having fun and learning!

With in-person and virtual camps available for ages 4—7 and ages 8-14, there is sure to be a fit for your busy schedule.

Each week we explore tons of exciting technologies like robotics, coding, 3D design, video game design, and Minecraft. Plus, kids get tons of experience with hands-on build projects and STEM challenges to really push their creativity.
